About Automatic Compactor
A special niche in both the domestic and international markets, we are manufacturing and offering a foremost range of Automatic Compactor. These compactors are used for measuring dry density and moisture content of soil. Can be operated mechanically and electrically, our Automatic Compactor is applauded in the market for its low maintenance, optimum performance and rugged construction. Being a quality centric organization, our offered compactor machines are at par with international quality standards at the mean time very nominal in price.
Further Details:
The Automatic Universal Compactor has been fabricated as per IS: 2720 (Part VII & VIII). The machine is fabricated to compact specimens uniformly as well as automatically for Proctor and C.B.R. tests thereby completely abolishing the laborious hand compaction method. We are the leading manufacturer and supplier of Automatic Universal Compactor machines.
Components and Functionality
The lateral movement of the table and the rotation of the mold after every stroke (for C.B.R. mould only) ascertain complete coverage of soil surface. Herein, the height of the compaction rammer can be rapidly swapped from 310 to 450mm by hand lever. It consists of hammer in two parts that is adjustable for 4.89 kg for heavy compaction and 2.6 kg for light compaction is supplied as a standard component of the unit. A graduated dial incorporating a micro switch supports the presetting of number of blows before each test and then automatically stops the machine on completion.
Advanced Digital Control for Accurate TestingEquipped with a digital timer, cycle counter, and adjustable platen travel, the Automatic Compactor enables efficient and standardized soil compaction. Users can set and monitor precise operating parameters for both Standard Proctor and Modified Proctor tests, resulting in reliable and repeatable outcomes that comply with global standards.
Versatile and Durable Laboratory SolutionBuilt from powder-coated mild steel, this compactor is engineered to endure the demands of busy construction material laboratories. Its compatibility with 100 mm and 150 mm diameter compaction moulds and selectable hammer weights ensures it meets a broad array of soil testing protocols, suitable for both export and local markets.
FAQs of Automatic Compactor:
Q: How does the Automatic Compactor facilitate soil sample preparation?
A: The Automatic Compactor automates the compaction process for soil samples using a precision-controlled hammer and digital timer. By adjusting the platen travel and using standard moulds, it ensures consistent soil density for both Standard and Modified Proctor test methods, minimizing manual handling and enhancing reproducibility.
Q: What are the primary benefits of using this compactor in civil engineering laboratories?
A: The compactor offers high accuracy, quick operation, programmable cycles, and robust safety features. Its digital control panel with timer and cycle counter streamlines workflow, reduces operator fatigue, and guarantees reliable results that meet IS and ASTM standards, ultimately improving efficiency in testing laboratories.
Q: When should the hammer weight and mould size be changed during testing?
A: Hammer weights of 2.6 kg or 4.89 kg and mould sizes of 100 mm or 150 mm diameter are selected based on the required testStandard or Modified Proctor methods. Changing the configuration is essential to comply with specific IS 2720 or ASTM D558/D698/D1557 standards, ensuring accurate test results for different soil types.
Q: Where is it suitable to use the Automatic Compactor?
A: This compactor is ideal for civil engineering laboratories, construction material testing facilities, educational institutions, and research centers where standardized soil compaction is necessary for geotechnical analysis and construction quality assurance.
Q: What processes are controlled by the digital panel on the compactor?
A: The digital control panel allows users to set the compaction time, cycle count, and adjust platen travel distance as per the test method. It also provides real-time data on cycle progression, ensuring adherence to standard testing procedures and repeatable sample preparation.
Q: How does the compactor ensure operator safety during use?
A: Safety is prioritized through the integration of an emergency stop button and a fully enclosed protective case. These features protect users from accidental contact with moving components and allow immediate shutdown in case of unexpected incidents.
